When you awake to hear your spouse exclaiming, "Oh dear LORD!".... you know it's going to be one of Those Days.

[livejournal.com profile] roho has had early workdays all week, and usually I drowse until he's ready to head out the door, then I get up and wander downstairs to collect my kisses and see him off. This morning... hoy. The dog was apparently not feeling well, so she did what dogs do and ate grass. A lot of grass. Which she then proceeded to vomit up all over the main floor of the house, and upstairs outside the guest bedroom.

So we cleaned dog vomitus this morning. She's fine, she's currently begging for her breakfast. Anyway, it's been a busy busy week! Classes are going well (I'm still rockin' along), I'm slowly learning CSS, and hoping to start learning how to do web design for Drupal.

Art-wise, I'm doing excellent. I've finished two paintings already this month, they should be uploaded this weekend, and I'm making good progress through my queue. I'm thinking I probably will not open up for commissions again until late April, but if I find myself with leisure time, I'll work on some non-commissioned paintings. It should be fun!

Anyway, I need to go run through the shower, and the dog wants to go out (no doubt to assuage her hunger pangs with more foliage munching). How are you guys? LJ seems so quiet lately. :)

Apparently she barfed again after I left for class. Poor [livejournal.com profile] roho had to deal with it when he got home.

I'm not sure why she ate so much grass, I mean, there were huge clumps of it in the.. er.. mess. We're not sure if she was OMG SO HUNGRY or if she wasn't feeling well and ate it because.. that's what dogs do.

Oh well. :P

My week has sucked royally at work, but it's getting a lot better and I'll even be free this weekend.

Which reminds me...I need to figure out what we're having for dinner on Sunday. Any requests? :-)

Yaaay for being free on the weekend! I think work has been sucktackular for a lot of people this week; I'm dreading my shift tomorrow, even though I don't have to deal with nearly the amount of unpleasantness that you guys do.

As for requests... hmm. I have been craving potato soup lately; I'm not sure if that's a feasible possibility or not. (I might be convinced to make a fresh loaf of challah to go with dinner, whatever it is..)

Pet sickness must be a theme this week...Ra's been sick several times the past couple of days. We're keeping a close eye on him to make sure his IBS troubles aren't coming back. I hope Bree feels better soon.

Glad to read you're cookin' along with school and your art. Yay!

J's still working on the data center move and the earliest he expects to be home is around 2am...and he's acting manager since his manager is gone so he's got to go in and work a full day tomorrow.:(

Tuesday night we were in penthouse seating at a Bulls game courtesy of one of J's vendors.:) I'm not a big sports type person, but that was SWEET!

Other than that I've not had much to report, so I haven't posted much lately except birthday wishes. I've been reading more, which is good; otherwise it's same old, same old for me.

We should meet up with you guys one of these days!

awww. Poor Ra! And poor J! Everyone seems to be having Interesting weeks (in the Chinese sense).

I saw your post about the Bulls game and meant to comment on it! SCORE! I have absolutely zero interest in basketball, but I'd TOTALLY be all over going to a game with penthouse seating (and, I presume, perks)!

I haven't been reading LJ as much as I probably should lately, myself.. I skim, then get lost in Facebook games. >.> I should really use my time better. *ahem*

And YES! We should totally get together. I'll email you guys and see when a good weekend would be for us to head down for... the weekend, for lunch... whatever you guys can squeeze us in with. :) (although weekend will require some planning so we can locate dogsitter)

Glad to hear you're mostly doing okay though. I worry aboutcha babe!

I've had a few fires to put out at work this week, some of it spillover from last week and such. I'm glad it's slowed down on that front, even if I have a ten item todo list for the morning. *whimpers*

And dog vomit.... ewwwww....

One step at a time! My todo list is absolutely monstrous. I can't look at it in its entirety... I'd just go crawl back into bed.

I always liked being... busy... at work. Crisis were interesting as long as they stayed on the cusp of being something I could handle... there was a very very fine line between challenge and overwhelming, hopefully yours all stayed on the correct side. ;)

I don't know if I've mentioned this, but I absolutely love your icon! Are you a pisces as well?

Busy is good... having a job have four separate issues last week on account of a font issue that I'm not used to cropping up, not so good. >.>

Very much so on being a Pisces (March 18th is around the corner again). It's actually a piece of clip art I found that spoke to me when I was rooting around the stuff at work... a combination of Pisces, and the YinYang that symbolizes part of myself. :)

I can imagine! (re: workstuff)

And the icon is very nice, I like the YinYang imagery too. :)

I don't put much thought into astrology, but I'm amused that I was supposed to be born an Aries and came early... but my personality is very very Aries. ;D

Hehe. My dad's an Aries, my brother is also a Pisces. Yes, March is an expensive month in my family. :P

hee! My brother was born 2 years and 3 days after me, so we had shared birthdays growing up. ;) I'm March 6th, he's the 9th. :)

One step at a time... yeah, to avoid the dog vomit.

Sorry, I had to.
